Before you do anything, put your trust totally in God and not in yourself. Then every plan you make will succeed.

Keeping Your faith through disappointment
In today’s show, Spencer shares his journey through trusting God in disappointment.
After graduating from high school and only weeks away from reporting for football camp, Spencer was told he’d never play football again due to a severe shoulder injury. He was forced to process that his dream of playing college sports was over.
What should have been a summer filled with friends, fishing and football quickly turned into a long, hard recovery from shoulder surgery. But as tough as it was, Spencer knew that no matter what happened, God had a plan for his life.
He shares how after making a bad decision from a night of “fun,” God used the time to help him mature and put Spencer back on track.
Part of Spencer’s journey included being diagnosed with ADHD.
He talks about what life was like for him before his diagnosis and the two things we found that helped him focus and start living life with purpose and drive. In fact, in the episode, he states that after applying these two things, “I started doing better in every area of my life!”
Spoiler alert!!!
Spencer spills a secret that he had never told my husband and I. (I needed a moment to process that one!)
Whether you’ve experienced disappointment while going after your dreams, made a choice you now regret, or you know someone with ADHD and focus issues, you’re going to love my conversation with Spencer!

I really enjoyed listening to Spencer and hearing his point of view on life and God and how he sees where he is now. I also enjoyed the fact that a young man would be willing to share his life and his journey so far with others. Thank you!
Awww, thank you so much! I will pass this along to him. He will really appreciate it! I’ve been very proud of him for being so willing to share and holy moly, when they make those bone headed decisions in life, it’s so good to know that God’s plan for them will never fail! Thanks so much for listening!
This young man has had many disappointments in life but has trusted in the lord . I truly enjoyed seeing him this summer. He is what he is because of his parents strong support. I am extremely proud to say he is my grandson.
