What then is Apollos? What is Paul? Ministering servants [not heads of parties] through whom you believed, even as the Lord appointed to each his task: I planted, Apollos watered, but God [all the while] was making it grow and [He] gave the increase. So neither he who plants is anything nor he who waters, but [only] God Who makes it grow and become greater.

stepping out in faith to follow your calling
In episode #38 of A Faithful God Podcast, I sit down with two ministry rock stars who’re doing some amazing work for God! During our recording, and again while I was editing, I felt like a kid, sitting cross-legged in front of them, hanging on to every word!
My guests today are Meagan and Ryan Wonderly from Mission Ahava, and they share their incredible journey of stepping out in faith to follow God’s purpose for them.
Meagan and Ryan share how they were both “bitten by the mission bug” early in their life and that less than two years into their marriage, they packed everything up and moved to Brazil to lead a church mission.
Not long after moving, they discovered some things in the orphanage that didn’t sit well with their mission and what God planned for them, so they quickly sat down and completely restructured their mission and program.
Mission Ahava now works with orphans, and street children, as well as victims and targets of human trafficking in Brazil and Cambodia.
They’ve won awards for their non-profit work in Brazil and what they’re doing for the kids is truly incredible!
From giving them a safe, healthy environment to hang out, to sending them to vocational school, and investing their earnings into an investment fund for each of the children, Mission Ahava is changing the trajectory of their lives and more importantly, their worth in God.
In fact, as Ryan shares,
“We wanted them to understand their value and their worth in the eyes of God. Because once you understand that, there’s nothing you can’t do. You’re absolutely unstoppable.”
Mission Ahava’s Work
They are…
- Giving kids a safe, healthy environment to hang out.
- Providing meals (sometimes the only meal they receive each day).
- Sending them to vocational school.
- Investing the kid’s earnings into investment funds for each of them.
- Teaching them their worth in God.
- Creating disciples for Jesus to go out and live their ultimate calling.
The stories are incredible and nothing short of how faithful our amazing God is!
Ryan and Meagan share some of the difficulties they’ve faced, as well as the beautiful stories of redemption, forgiveness and restoration.
Fasten your seatbelt, my friend, because you don’t want to miss Stepping Out in Faith to Follow Your Calling!
