how to cope with a cancer diagnosis
In episode #5 of A Faithful God Podcast, I sit down with my friend, Jennifer Lane from The Cancer Bomb, to share her story of how cancer exploded into her family.
In just four short years, Jennifer had seven family members and close friends diagnosed with cancer; some who’ve gone home to be with the Lord, and others who have made it through and are cancer free.
Jennifer shares that when her father was diagnosed, they capitalized on the time they had left and made a bucket list. Not only did they cross everything off that list, but they were able to go on to complete a second one before her dad was called home!
I’m grateful to Jennifer for her vulnerability and honesty and how she found that through it all, her relationship with God grew stronger.
When she and her family were looking for resources to help them navigate all the doctor’s visits, there was nothing to be found, so she set out and created The Cancer Binder to help patients and families beat the overwhelm associated with a cancer diagnosis.
This episode was so fun to record and I have to tell you that I included a “blooper reel” at the very end where we talked about the guest that showed up outside their house while we were recording!
Yep, it was that bear in the picture below!
