Finding god’s strength through chronic illness
In today’s show, Timberley shares her journey through Rheumatoid Arthritis and what it’s looked like to lean into God for His guidance.
Timberley tells us how she went from doctor to doctor, including one who told her it was all in her head. However, after seeking God’s guidance, He led her to a rheumatologist that not only took the time to find out what was going on, but has been integral in her care since.
In fact, she says, “I’m so grateful that I kept seeking God, because if I had listened to that one doctor, I probably wouldn’t be here today.”
She explains what she does when she isn’t feeling well; and how important maintaining a schedule, spending time with God and sowing into herself is for her overall health.
Timberley gives us some practical things we can do as chronic illness warriors to determine what health plan and medications are best for our own personal health.
I also share with her some of the things she did that I thought were crazy when she told me, but have turned out to be so important and therapeutic in my own daily health.
We have a lot of laughs in this episode, as Timberley dishes out some truth bombs and some practical things we chronic illness warriors can do to help us feel better, as well as, gather our strength and guidance from God.
So grab your favorite beverage, that basket of clothes that needs folding, or turn up the volume on your morning commute and listen to this week’s episode, Finding God’s Strength Through Chronic Illness.
