finding god’s grace in infant loss
In today’s show, Misty shares her journey through grief and finding God’s grace after the loss of her infant son.
At 37 weeks when Misty went into labor, her GYN sent her to the hospital where she heard something no parent wants to hear – there’s no heartbeat.
She recalls the hours after when she had to deliver her sweet little man, and what it looked like to walk in that grief.
Misty shares the pain over the next year of finding answers to what happened, and trying to make the decision on whether or not to have another baby. Ultimately, she and her husband said they truly couldn’t decide and gave the decision over to God.
So on what would have been her son’s first birthday, when she discovered she was pregnant again, Misty found herself face down on the bathroom floor, experiencing nothing but complete joy.
As hard and painful as Misty’s story is, it’s also a beautiful example of God’s grace and glory and how He renews and restores even our most painful times.
So grab your favorite beverage, that basket of clothes that needs folding, or turn up the volume on your morning commute and listen to this week’s episode, Finding God’s Grace in Infant Loss
