It’s hard to be a light in a world full of hate, chaos and heartbreak. So why does Jesus call us to be a light no matter what’s going on around us? It isn’t easy, is it? In today’s show, I’m sharing some powerful ways to shine your light for Jesus.

Picture a candle flickering gently in the daylight. It’s there, but it doesn’t stand out. Now imagine that same candle in the darkness. Suddenly, it becomes a beacon of hope, shining brightly against the backdrop of night.

It’s in these moments of darkness that our light truly stands out, making a lasting impact on those around us.

In this show, I’ll dive into the significance of shining in the darkness and how when we choose to shine for Jesus, it fulfills our ultimate calling — to make God known and bring Him glory.

Matthew 5:16 teaches us,

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” NKJV

In The Book of Mysteries, Jonathan Cahn explains, “It is at the very time when it’s hardest to shine the light, that it is most crucial that you do it.”

So we’ll explore how, when faced with life’s challenges and uncertainties, our light has the power to brighten even the darkest circumstances in the lives of those around us.

Lessons from Philippians TO SHINE for Jesus

As always, we can turn to the Bible for some practical ways to walk this out. In Philippians, Paul teach us,

“Do everything without complaining and arguing, so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. Hold firmly to the word of life; then, on the day of Christ’s return, I will be proud that I did not run the race in vain and that my work was not useless. But I will rejoice even if I lose my life, pouring it out like a liquid offering to God, just like your faithful service is an offering to God. And I want all of you to share that joy. Yes, you should rejoice, and I will share your joy.” Philippians 2:14-18 NLT

This passage reminds us that God not only gives us the desire to serve Him, but also the power to shine brightly in a world that desperately needs His light.

As we strive to live clean, innocent lives, holding firm to the word of God, we become beacons of hope in everyone we touch.

WHAT TO praY to shine YOUR LIGHT for jesus

As we’ll talk about in this week’s show, shining Christ’s light requires surrendering our desires for His. It’s about seeking His strength, receiving His love, and asking Him how we can best serve Him each day.

One of the most powerful things we can pray is, “Lord, how can I best serve you today? How can I be a light to everyone I touch?”

By praying this simple prayer, we cultivate a servant’s heart; choosing to show up and shine for Jesus no matter what’s going on around us.
